Hazeldenes Project Taking Shape

e+ architecture is the architect for a large industrial complex for Hazeldene's that is currently under construction at Lockwood south of Bendigo. e+ architecture is working with Fairbrothers Construction in a design and construction partnership

The $20 million expansion of the primary production facility includes constructing an entirely new building at the Lockwood site for production using technology that will enable the company to process up to 13,500 chickens a day.

Mr Hazeldene, for whom the project has been four years in the planning, said the company was importing start-of-the-art processing technology from the Netherlands. The plant will become a southern showcase for Dutch technology manufacturer Stork.

Construction got under way four months ago and the plant is on target to be commissioned in March 2012.
