Eaglehawk Primary School is a grand example of pre federation architecture in Central Victoria; the school plays an important role within the Eaglehawk community both as an educational facility and also with its contribution to the heritage aesthetic of the historic ‘gold rush' town of Eaglehawk.

With an overall budget of approximately $2 million, the team at e+ Architecture have achieved the challenge of blending the standards of modern learning facilities in the 21st century with the importance of reinvigorating and enhancing the schools historical image within Central Victoria.

By creating better links between the spaces within the original building fabric, e+ architecture have not only been able to create additional facilities such as open plan learning environments, outdoor learning spaces, a new administration area and new toilets to increase the schools future capacity, they have also breathed new life into a historic building and enhanced its heritage image in the community.
