Eplus Architecture were engaged to assist the client in re-developing the previous school site into a new mixed use development site. The project involved working with stakeholders to determine the best use for the site including the existing heritage school building and surrounding vacant land. Straddling between residential, light commercial and industrial zones, the site provided a vast array of options.
The site has been sub-divided into a series of lot dimensions that can provide flexibility for the market. A curtilage has been controlled around the heritage building to ensure its significance was preserved. With the assistance of Eplus Architecture, several sites are already being developed comprising of a new Cafe Bakehouse in the old school building occupying the centre of the site, new office buildings and a manufacturing facility with showroom on the primary street corner of the site.
