NANKERVIS ROAD RESIDENCE
Located in Mandurang, Central Victoria on an abandoned heritage vineyard is the site for a new family home. Conceptualized as a series of pavilion-style buildings forming a courtyard to protect from the surrounds “tips its hat” to the farms of the surrounding area. Utilising agricultural and traditional materials such as galvanized corrugated steel, charred Australian hardwood and concrete allows this new insert to sit comfortably with its surrounds. 4 pavilions form the extent of the home, with a bedroom wing, living wing, master suite and office wing all meeting at the entry and main sunken lounge overlooking the landscape beyond. A 4th garage/shed building completes the gathering of buildings.
