ST AIDANS RESIDENCE
Providing a sanctuary was the catalyst for the design of the St Aidans Residence. A large site within an established neighbourhood offered a unique opportunity to set up a series of spaces varying in privacy before arriving in a central courtyard with glass-sided pool.
Entry is through a solid stone wall, with main house set back to allow for a discreet garage and undercover guest parking. Once invited inside a series of internal and external gardens, some open to sky, others glazed, blur the lines of what’s internal and external. Rich materials of stone and timber flow seamlessly from outside to in to strengthen this relationship further.
Once in the heart of the home you arrive to an open plan living/dining and kitchen space overlooking the courtyard, garden, covered outdoor and glass-sided pool.
