ANNE CAUDLE CENTRE

This project involves the renovation & addition to the existing Anne Caudle Centre which now serves as an administrative hub for the Bendigo Hospital.

The extension includes the incorporation of a new stair & lift service core that had to be accessible on two different floor levels, next to the Centre.

Creating a new block of amenities building next to this prominent local heritage building is a challenge in itself.

EPlus Architecture envisaged a new structure that should be sympathetic to the existing building and at the same time we want to create an exciting new addition to the streetscape.

The organic motifs on the service core’s facade complements the Centre’s classical lines and

the setting back of the new build at a considerable distance means that the Anne Caudle Centre’s proportions and aesthetics are not compromised.

A slimline glazed linkway connects the old and the new buildings together.
